Is bHop blind the whole time?
No. Profiles are public, but matches are blind until your first video call together. After you first video date, you'll have the option to add that person to your contacts and go from there.
What happens after the first video call?
You will both have the option to add each other to your contacts. If you both hit yes, you'll be able to continue communication on the app. As contacts, you'll be able to request contact info, another video call, or make a date suggestion to meet in person, which will enable messaging.
What safety features are there?
Before a call, you can verify your photos and choose to only see people who've done the same. To join a call, you have to show your face, and if a face leaves the frame, the video blurs automatically (you can turn this off once you're comfortable). If anything feels wrong, tap Report: the call pauses while you tell us what happened, and our team reviews it. We have zero tolerance for inappropriate content or harassment.
