bHop ("we", "our", "us") cares about your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using bHop, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
- Account info: Phone number, email address, location, and preferences.
- Your info: Name, age, height, gender, pronouns, sexual orientation, relationship goals, family goals, child status, religion, political orientation, ethnicity, education level, school, job title, workplace, hometown, lifestyle/substance usage.
- Profile content: Questionnaires, date suggestions, prompts, captions, photos and videos.
- Usage data: Log data, device information, IP address, and cookies (see Section 6).
- Communications: Messages you send and receive, reports, and feedback you submit.
- Video calls: If you choose to submit a report about a video call, you may upload a recording of that call. Recordings are only retained by us upon submission of a report and are used solely for safety review and moderation purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and maintain your account.
- To match you with other users and operate core app features.
- To improve safety and moderate content.
- To analyze usage and improve our product, including through analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Firebase (see Section 6).
- To send service-related messages, including two-factor authentication (2FA) codes and login alerts via SMS.
- To send push notifications for app activity such as new matches, likes, messages, confirmations, reminders, and requests. You may manage push notification preferences in your device settings.
3. Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited data with:
- Service providers (such as hosting, analytics, and messaging services) who are bound by confidentiality agreements and may only use your data to perform services on our behalf.
- Analytics providers, including Google Analytics and Firebase, which may collect usage and device data to help us understand how the app is used. These providers have their own privacy policies governing their use of such data.
- Law enforcement or government authorities if required by law, legal process, or to protect the safety of our users or the public.
- A successor company in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. You will be notified if such a transfer occurs and if your data will become subject to a different privacy policy.
4. Your Choices & Rights
- You may access, update, or delete your personal data in-app or by contacting us at info@blindsparksgroup.com.
- You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from our service number.
- You may manage push notification preferences at any time through your device settings.
- You may opt out of Google Analytics data collection by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
5. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
- Right to Know: You may request information about the categories and specific pieces of personal data we have collected about you, and how we use and share it.
- Right to Delete: You may request that we delete your personal data, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to Opt Out: You have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal data. We do not sell your personal data for monetary consideration; however, our use of analytics tools such as Google Analytics may constitute "sharing" under the CCPA. To opt out, please contact us at info@blindsparksgroup.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information."
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.

6. Cookies & Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to remember you, keep you logged in, and understand how the app is used. We also use third-party analytics tools including Google Analytics and Firebase, which may collect usage data, device identifiers, and IP addresses to help us analyze app performance and user behavior. These tools may set their own cookies or use similar tracking technologies.
You can control cookie settings through your browser or device settings, though disabling certain cookies may affect app functionality.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove or anonymize your data within 90 days, unless we are required to retain it for legal reasons or to prevent fraud or abuse.
If your account has an unresolved report at the time of deletion, relevant data may be retained until the review is complete, and in no case longer than 90 days from the date of the deletion request.
Video call recordings submitted with a report will be retained only for as long as necessary to resolve the report, after which they will be deleted.
8. Security
We use industry-standard security practices to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately.
9. Children
bHop is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account or used the Service, please report them in-app or contact us at info@blindsparksgroup.com and we will promptly investigate and delete any data associated with the account.
10. International Users
bHop is operated in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer. We apply appropriate safeguards in compliance with applicable laws.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version here and update the "Last updated" date. Significant changes may be communicated via in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
